Flights
Bordeaux is easy to reach by plane. The airport connects Bordeaux to all major European airports as well as to a large number of mid-size cities across Europe. There is a high-speed tram going every five minutes straight from the airport to Bordeaux center.
Trains
Bordeaux is very well connected by high speed trains, with over 30 daily trains from Paris to Bordeaux in only two hours despite the long distance. By changing trains in Paris, Bordeaux is also easily reached by train from European capitals such as London, Brussels, and Amsterdam. In addition, there are several daily trains straight from Charles de Gaulle Airport (Paris) to Bordeaux, without the need to go into Paris.
City transport
The best way to get around central Bordeaux is by foot. The center of Bordeaux is a large pedestrian area, one of the largest in the world, and the largest urban area protected by UNESCO. In addition, an extended system of four high speed tram lines and an extensive system of city busses provide easy travels in the entire urban area of Bordeaux.
